In a multi warehouse scenario for a given demand inventory can be available in more than one transfer warehouse so can the planning worksheet suggest based on the shortest lead time? For example if a company demand arise in New York and both Boston and California warehouses contain stock then transfer order routed to Boston
Not today, but hopefully something like that arrives in the future. Today you define the normal replenishment process, i.e. which warehouse is used to transfer product, and you manage by exception.
This is similar to the make vs. buy decision manufactures have to make based on capacity and lead times. Someday, especially as machine learning matures, I think we'll get to these computer driven calculations. Unfortunately we do not have it today.
