Optimal way to send a post-webinar email to registrants

Hi there - My workplace runs webinars via Zoom, with registrants registering using the Zoom link.

Following the webinar, we usually send a post-webinar email to all registrants with the recording and extra resources.

In our previous provider, we could create a segment by importing a spreadsheet of the registrants.

I am not sure what the optimal way to do this is with D365. It looks as if I will have to manually add people to the segment, but this does not feel like the most intuitive way forward?

Is the webinar set up as an event in Customer Insights - Journeys? If so, you can mark the registrants as 'attended', and then query a segment based on contacts who attended the event.

If not, out of the box, you cannot currently upload to a segment. So you would either need to manually add the attendees to your segment, or introduce a custom tag on the contact record where you can state that they attended X event, and then query on that tag instead.

There are some other ways this could be achieved including creating a custom triggers to connect with the Zoom event attendance data, but this would require custom work by a developer / consultant. More information on custom triggers can be found here.
