Exporting Item Numbers into Excel

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi

Hope someone can help me

I am trying to export the item numbers into an excel sheet so all the item fields show up

At the moment I am going into Product Information Management > Release Products

I tick some of the item numbers

Then I click on export to excel > Download and then open excel file

I only get a couple of the columns come up which are the columns displayed in the screen

Item number Product name Search name Product type Product subtype Product dimension groups

I need all the columns relating to all item fields (Could be 30+ fields eg purchase price, item group, etc) show up as I need to cross check and ensure my data entry is consistent and that if I have left any fields out and also from time to time when I need to change a field eg changing Vendors across a section then it's easier for me to view before making those changes.

Thanks

Sharon

    Hi Sharon,

Which version of Microsoft Dynamics AX are you referring to? Next to the Excel add-in you could also use Data Import Export Framework. These answers are valid for AX2012 and Dynamics 365 for Operations.

As you say you download the Excel file, I do think it is D365 for Operations, but please confirm. The tags in your question are not correctly set.
