Dear Experts,

I have a very straight forward question, came from one of my customer.

In Voucher transactions form, we have customer account, vendor account and name, however is it somehow possible to bring Invoice number as well?

Is this required a customization, can someone help me to share the best possible way to do this?>

    Hi Ramit,

You are able to add invoiceId to default descriptions. What exact issue do you meet?

Out of the box I don't think this is available. You will have to go with customization.  Adding display method is an option.

    Hi Ramit,

What exact type of transaction are you referring to? If it is about sales order invoices or purchase order invoices, you can setup that the voucher number will reuse the number of the actual invoice. In that case the voucher number is equal to the invoice number.

    1. In Account source explorer document number column gives invoice number for invoice transactions

    2. You can define default description for all transaction to capture invoice number in ledger description e.g. SO invoice, PO invoice, Free text invoice etc....

    Hi All,

Thanks so much for your suggestion, very helpful

Yes, certainly default description could help us, however my customer also have requirement to have description coming from invoices as well, so we would keep these two separate.

You can use some separator and have both of them , so that they can easily extract in Excel and work.
