This has me feeling like I'm going crazy. :)

1). This is supposed to run using Services and not IIS any longer, but the Server install still has the prompt for the machine name and port. I can skip over and not enter it for the Server install, but when installing the Migration Wizard you have to enter it (which means I have to have iis running) in order to finish the install.

2). The minimum requirements document states that Server 2003 is ok, however you cannot Install a new MR database, or Upgrade an existing MR database (it gives you a message that you cannot do this), and it also states this in the Readme with a workaround of installing on a Server 2008 somewhere else to update the Database. huh?

To add to the confusion for myself, I know I have installed this on a Server 2003 in the past, with SQL 2008 and successfully updated the MR database. But I cannot seem to do this on a Server 2003 with SQL 2005.

Can someone shed some light?

Hello Maria,

1. MR still uses WCF so it will still be using the port. It doesn't use IIS for the service any longer though. We now use a second application service.

2. MR 2012 is supported on Server 2003 but you need to perform the install a bit different. You will want to check the latest install guide found out on our MR site.
