Manual adjustments when posting journal entries?!

This is baffling me.

Some items setup at the same time with the same supplier and all other details (viewed through mssql tables) are suddenly having manual adjustments for all transactions while others are not.  

I don't know what I am missing but this is throwing our inventory off because each transaction, whether it be receiving a purchase order or a sale transaction, is being duplicated!

What I can see that is odd is that for each unknown manual adjustment the transaction number is NULL in the ViewTransactionDetail view.

Can anyone help? Or provide some direction where to start looking?

    Can someone tell me where a manual adjustment would be recorded outside of the viewtransactiondetail table?

    Where is the data being written to besides the view?
