Steps to build a portal using xRM Portal CE

Hi,

Context: We are planning to create a portal to expose few CRM functionalities to external users and to do this we are considering xRM Portals Community Edition. 

I am new to CRM and it is hard to find any step by step guide on xRM portal development. Any help on the following questions is much appreciated.

1. What kind of setup is needed for portal development? Should we have to install any packages related to xRM CE on a web server and/or CRM server?

2. What are the basic steps required to develop a portal using xRM Portals CE?

3. What are the steps involved in packaging and deploying a portal solution? Do we have to install any solution on CRM server?

Any resources to a sample project would be of a great help.

    If you are building a new portal, you should be using Microsoft's software as a service version, Dynamics 365 Portals; documentation is available here. xRM Portals Community Edition is intended for existing users of Adxstudio Portals who need to more time to migrate their existing applications to Dynamics 365 Portals.
