Need help with sql query

I am trying to write a sql query to export some of our inventory. However, using description for matix items show the matrix name + Dimension 1 + Dimension 2 combined. Is it possible to write a query so it shows them separate. Dimension 1 is usually "size" and Dimension 2 is usually "color" so I need them in separate columns for the export. For example, "BD shorts XS Teal" needs to be "BD Shorts"  |  "XS"  |  "Teal"
