2013 R2 Report problem with RW_CoAddrIDInfo

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm testing the upgrade to 2013 R2. The install and conversion went without issue. However, in manually testing my reports I found any report using the RW_CoAddrIDInfo function was not returning a value. If I set the Address ID to get as "" (which will get the default), it returns data. I've tried multiple ID's, all upper case, all lower case (which is how it  is working in 2013), but I still get no data.

Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

George

Support confirmed there is a bug. David Musgrave will be posting about it on 8/22: blogs.msdn.com/.../update-microsoft-dynamics-gp-2013-r2-updates-to-report-writer-functions-rw-coaddridinfo-broken.aspx

If David's post does not have the chunk file fix, contact support and reference quality issue 79342 in TFS. They should be able to get you the fix until a hot fix or service pack is released.

I have found the problem, but don't know how to solve it. I've turned on SQL logging. When the user defined function (zDP_SY00600SS_1) is called it is passed 2 parameters: company id and address id. In my upgraded version, it's passing a company id of 0 when it should be 30.

I've confirmed this by running the same logging on my production version of 2013 that is working. Something in the upgrade has failed. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I can't replicate your issue on my environment. Better contact Microsoft Support Teams to look into this issue.

    Hope this helps!!!

Please have a look on the below screen shot which is taken from my system and everything is working fine.

Note: Also check the Address Id in you company address setup window(Tools-->Setup-->Company-->Company, then click address button and enter address ID PHYSICAL).

    Hope this helps!!!

What is the value for the column "ADDRESS 1" returned from above mentioned query?

My test environment is very closed off. I cannot really post the results. However, I can assure you the SQL is returning data.

Can you attach the result for the below query?

    SELECT *FROM SY00600 WHERE LOCATNID='PHYSICAL'

Note: I have tried this on my environment. Everything was working as expected.

    Your reply is much appreciated.
