For some reason, The unit Price is not saved when I try to create a Job Planning Line through OdataV4 APi. I tried to patch the recently created line, but that's not working as well. any thoughts?

I have also got this issue before and solved. Can you share the request that you are using for patch.
I would create your own page for this task. The unit price field has a variable controlling the editable property which is run OnAfterGetRecord. These triggers work out well for the regular UI put not always for OData.
@Josh you are right about this.
But that control is used to restrict user changing unit price of planning line that has some quantity transferred to Invoice. Is it fine to override this control?
My issue is solved now.
Here is How,
I have to send a second API call (PATCH) to update the unit price after creating an entry
But I used asterisk , as opposed to e-tag. in the header (If-Match *) - This was the part that solved my issue
