Workflow emails not sending

Hi Community,

I have a problem with workflow in GP 2015 where the emails are not being sent on a requisition workflow. All seems to be fine in the Dynamics Security and GP web services area, well no errors anyway. When submitting the requisition it all appears to work fine, just no email being sent. In workflow setup Email actions is fine and I can send a test email.

All help appreciated.

    I had the same issue and it was the active directory user setup, either missing email addresses or wrong email addresses. Corrected that and the emails started flowing.

    In Active Directory Users & Computers, find the Windows AD account for the approvers, alternate final approvers and workflow managers and make sure they have an email address in AD for their account, as that is where the new Workflow looks for it.

    We are running into a similar situation.  Can you point me into the direction of where you assigned the email address?

    I am also having issues with emails not being sent and not finding errors for a PO. I have already checked all email addresses and those seem to be correct. Strange part is it was working before (edit: it's working now - just wasn't sending emails, then the object reference error, and now it's working).

    Error handling seem to be poorly implemented with Workflow 2.0. I received an 'object reference not set to an instance of an object' error recently when submitting a PO. Helpful.

    After much frustration it turned out to be that the domain users did not have their email address assigned.

    Yes I have tried that as well, as far as GP is concerned the emails have been sent and the documents are waiting on approval.

    Hi David,

    Have you tried to submit purchase order for approval and check whether you are getting email for that.

    Please try the following.  After submitting please recall it and  resubmit and check whether you are getting email.
