Editable grid in Sub-Grid does not work

Posted on by 12,159

I enabled Editable Grids on Opportunities. In a custom entity (called 'Projects') I have a Sub-Grid which shows Associated Opportunities. I have enabled the Editable Grid Control on this Sub-Grid however this functionality is not available.

What gives?

Turns out it was because I had Legacy Form Rendering enabled across my organization. Once I turned that off the editable Sub-Grid works as expected. Pretty easy fix, really. Now, my users just need to get used to the tiny font as a result of the new forms.

    Here is the Controls tab:

    Here is the Sub-Grid:

And here is the popped-out view where you can see the Editable Grid working:

    Hi

Please provide the screenshot of your controls tab of your custom entity sub-grid.

    Did you publish?

If not working after publishing, clear browser Cache and check again.

    Hi,

    Please do following steps,

    1. Create a 1:N relationship between your custom entity and opportunity entity.

    2. Add subgrid in 'Projects' entity form and change its control to the editable field.

    3. Save and publish the solution.

    Thanks...

Fields from Related Entities added to a view. ie you cannot update the related primary contacts email directly from the Account View.
