Jobs - resource limitations and archiving.

When working with Jobs, I have 2 questions that have come up and wondering if any of you have answers or workarounds.

1.  Is there a way to limit users to only see the jobs that they are included in, on the job planning lines?

2.  When entering timesheets,  if you select the entry type of job, then use the ... to search for the job number, the lookup list includes ALL jobs, whether open, closed, planning etc.  Is there a way to only allow them to select from open jobs? 

Any tips, suggestions or solutions will be greatly appreciated!

    1) Not in the standard... you can do that with a customization.

    2) Same as before.

    Can you elaborate on "same as before"?  I have not used this part of the system much so I don't know how it works.

    It means that also for point 2 you need a simple customization by filtering in the lookup the jobs with the status you want. As default, the lookup is handled by the tabletelation with the Job table, so no filters on job status.
