Pop up values of one entity in another entity

Posted on by 62
I have a lookup field called as /Related Funnel/ in DSR Entity and whenever a user chooses a particular record in that from Funnel entity automatically the customer's name, company, address all the details would be popped up in a lookup field called as /Company Name/, /Address/, /City/ etc.

How can this be achieved using JavaScript? Is there any other method?

    Hello User,

In the above example you are showing Quick view form. Quick view form will populate the related information of the record which is selected in the lookup. The only difference is that if you are using the quick view form then you will able to see the details only. and those details will not be populated on the current record.

In the 3rd screen shot you mentioned that the details will be populated on the record, if this is the case then you will have to write a JS which will change the details on change of the customer lookup.

Please refer below links which will help you to implement your requirement.

    Thank you,

    Hi Rajath Krishna S,
You don't need JavaScript. You can accomplish this using quick view form. For that you need to follow the below steps.
    • Create a quick view form in the form tab of the related entity.

    • Add the fields you want to show in the Quick view form(popup as you said). Then save and publish the form.
    • Go to the form where you want to place the Quick View Form(popup) and then add a quick view form from the components list.

    • Configure the Quick view form with the lookup as the related entity(in your context you should select the Related Funnel Records). and then select the related entity and the Quick view form.

    • Save and publish the form.
    • Then Navigate to the form and check by adding value to the related record and you will get to see the popup appears with the fields you added as expected.
