We have a solution that allows you to edit Microsoft Quick Reports and present the results using aspx pages hosted on your own server, allowing for filtering, export to excel etc.   Solution works for any QRP file.

    Hi Alexandre,

Thanks for your reply.  I've connected CR2008 to the SQL database OK.  My question relates to links between the SQL DB tables.  I'm having trouble creating the right links so that my reports provide meaningful results and I was wondering if you might be able to give me any guidance on this?

    Thanks.

This is my way to do it. I've first created an ODBC Data Source for the underlying MS SQL Server. I've also created a DNS file for my Excel connections to the database. When you create a new report in CR2008, it ask you for connection. Create a new connection with an ODBC Data Source, then select either your DNS file or the ODBC link you've created. Maybe it isnt clear enought, in that case i'll try to explain in another way.
