Proforma Invoice not defaulting

Hi All

I have created a proforma invoice specifically for a cash sale customer in Business Central. For this customer, I have set up the Document Layout to default to this particular proforma invoice, however this does not work. Instead of defaulting to the cash sale proforma, it defaults to the standard layout (which is default for the rest of the customers).

It doesn't work when I enter the layout in Custom Layout description column or Email attachment layout in the Document Layout screen for the cash sale customer.

Has anyone experience this issue and if so, any solutions?

Thanks
Marissa

Maybe You have some modifications to the printing process, that this button check the layout in different way ?

Hi, Just curious if anyone has used the following method to replace the standard report?

In any case, you can uninstall the third-party app and try again. If there is no problem, it is recommended to contact the partner.

    Thanks

    Proforma Invoice not defaulting
    Hi Valentin

Thanks for your response. I managed to trigger an error message when running the report from a sales order (I had to manually select the correct report that is not defaulting). It ran the report I selected, and then returned an error message after the fact saying:

"The Pro forma Invoice report does not have a Data Item that uses the table (Table Sales Header) specified in the function Set Table View"

The order calls on the correct report ID because it runs the standard proforma layout but doesn't like when the other layout (the one I've set as a default for cash sale customer in Document Layouts) is manually selected.

Strange. Even stranger, I cannot replicate this error message again

In this case, I recommend asking your partner to troubleshoot the issue directly. If your setup matches mine exactly, it's difficult to determine the problem without having access to your environment to investigate further

    Hi Yun

    Thanks for responding.

The report layout selection is set to the correct default report layout. The custom layout I am trying to implement for the customer is the exception to the rule. It should work as I have made it the default document layout for this customer (this will be the only customer using this report) but it's not working and instead, is pulling the default at the report layout selection which is not correct.

Hopefully I'll have more answers to this soon.

    Thanks
    Marissa

    Hi, hope the following helps.
Dynamics 365 Business Central: Report Selection for standard documents (Set up default reports)

If this cannot be resolved, it may be a custom report, please contact your partner to resolve the issue.
    Thanks.

    Hi Valentin

    Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, that is exactly how I've set my proforma invoice up and it still does not default to the correct layout I have set up in the Document Layout screen. :(

    Thanks
    Marissa

I tested with the Email Attachment Layout field option and it worked for me. Hope this gives you some hints. This is what I did:

    1. In the Report Layouts Page I have two layouts for the pro forma 1302 report, one RDLC which is the default one, and a word one.

    2. In the customer card under Document Layouts, I set the word layout as the default one under the Email Attachment Layout field.

    3. When I print the report in a sales order for this customer, it prints the word layout, which is correct.
