For GP 10 and 2010, I skipped the Round 6 Tax Update and the Round 7 Tax and Tax Code update (chunk file), as I have no employees outside of KY. Is it ok to go strait to the 2011 Payroll Year End Update? When I did in a test environment, the Last Tax Code Update was 7/15/2011, NOT 8/25/2011 as it states on the tax update web page.

As far as I know and I really hope that am I right as I have already installed the year end update. It is ok to skip the Round 7 code update if you did not have employees in Connecticut. Which like you does not apply to me so I skipped it.
As to the Last Tax Code Update then yes as we did not install R7 code then that field will say 7/15/2011 not 8/25/2011.
And as to the tax update web page, I am guessing that Microsoft just puts the last code update on the page and they have no way of knowing what dates would be there for the multitude of installs that they have. So I would not worry to much over the date not being exactly what is on the tax update web page.
Dale,
Appreciate your quick response !!! Thanks much. You cleared all my doubts.
Thanks.

Sandip,
The W2's can be printed any time after the Year End Wage file is created, even after the 2012 tax updates are applied. However, the Year End Wage file needs to be created before the 2012 tax update.
Hi Dale,
I have question on w2 form you may be know answer- Did you print W2 form before tax update or can print w2 after tax update?
Thanks
Sandip
