RMS Receipt Format

Posted on 16 Aug 2012 14:43:11 by Microsoft Employee

Hello ,

The receipt form  in RMS 2.0 shows the net sales  amount but its not showing the gross amount. How can i add that gross amount in the receipt.

I need your help on how to include the gross amount in the receipt form.

Thank you

Akintayo Kemi

    Hello Akintayo,

Thank you for the follow up.

You may want to reference the Customization Guide on CustomerSource:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../rmscustomizationguide.htm

The POS Template Variables section shows Transaction.Total and Transaction.Discount as available variables.

To show the sum you should be able to simply add these in your report format in the desired location:

    Transaction.Total + Transaction.Discount

Please let me know if this answers your question.

    Re: RMS Receipt Format

    Hello,

    Thanks for your response.

But i dont have the option of total discount in the properties of the report format on my system.

but thats not an issue. I have been able to design the report to show the total discount, my next issue is how to sum the net sales and the total discount together  to give me gross sales.

I need your help to put me through on how to sum in the report  design.

    Thank you

    Re: RMS Receipt Format

    Hello Akintayo,

Thank you for posting your receipt question.

In testing I added an item to my transaction that cost $20; and then discounted it $2.00.

On my receipt I see the following

    Test Item    $20.00

    Discount       $2.00

I believe this setting is in the Receipt Properties (Manager | Database | Registers | Receipt Formats | Properties; and then select the template and click Properties).

    There are 2 options:

    Show total discounts

    Show line discounts

You could try setting these to True, if they are not already, to see if this gives you what you are looking for.

Also, the following receipt is in the Reports Library (note this is for pre-feature pack 1):

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../modifiedreports_rmsstoreoperationsreceipts.htm

Receipt - 40 Column with Line Discounts for ALL Transaction Type

This receipt displays the line discounts for ALL transaction types. By default, line descriptions are displayed only for certain transactions.

Please let me know if this answers your question.
