Feasibility of CRM 2011 and SharePoint 2019 server-based authentication?

Posted on by 3,497

Scenario:

Have CRM 2011 and SharePoint 2010 integrated (with list components).

We are migrating SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2019. Due to the deprecation of SharePoint's sandbox solution, which is a dependency for the List Components, List Components in Dynamics CRM can no longer be used for SharePoint integration

We would have to switch to the server-based authentication for integrating CRM 2011 and SharePoint 2019.

Has anyone tried the same? Is it even possible? Not seeing any had pre-requisites on the CRM side of things.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Steven,

You are right. I had a SR with MSFT support, who confirmed the same.

"You would need to upgrade to CRM 2013 Service pack 1 Update Rollup 4

    Hi Shidin,

The server-based authentication you're referring is for CRM version 9.

As far as i know, CRM 2011 is not supported, and the minimum version shall be CRM 2013 Service pack 1 Update Rollup 4, which is able to integrate with Sharepoint 2019 through the server-based authentication.
