I am building a model in Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 product builder that uses the generate item feature. I need to update the NetWeight field of the inventTable record for the item I am creating, based upon the value of a calculated variable in the model. Can this be accomplished using a node in the model?

You'll have to use a code node, but it is do-able.

We did something like this a couple of years ago. With item physical dimensions Gross Depth, Gross Width, and Gross Height, we set up an automatic calculation of cubic meters to figure out how much product could go in one truck load. Development was required but it was very simple. Took about 2 hours.
