We have a requirement for an 100% EOU Indian client running NAV 2013 R2.
When we post a purchase invoice for an import vendor, the customs duty payable gets added on to vendor liability.
This is some thing which we don't want to happen.
The vendor liability must be credited only with product value (quantity * unit price). Neither IGST nor customs duty payable must get added to vendor liability.
The entry we expect is this :
Assumptions
Purchase value = 1,00,000 INR
Vendor payment currency = USD
Conversion rate : 1 USD = 70 INR
IGST percentage applicable = 18%
When the actual import consignment is received and the entry is posted in the system,
Vendor liability 1428.571429 USD
IGST Receivable 18,000 INR
IGST Payable 18,000 INR
Customs duty payable 10,000 INR
Purchase account 1,10,000 INR
Note : 1428.571420 USD is 1,00,000 INR converted to USD using the conversion rate 1 USD = 70 INR
But presently, the customs duty payable amount (10,000 INR), gets converted to USD and is added on to vendor liability.
Can some one help us on this?
