RE: is it Possible to generate the login Failure report in mscrm 4.0

There are 3 main types of login failure for CRM:

    1. The user provides an incorrect username or password. This authentication is done by Active Directory (and not CRM), and any information about these failures would be in the Security event log
    2. The user does not exist in CRM
    3. The user exists in CRM, but has no associated security role

For numbers 2 and 3, the only way to get a record of these is by enabling tracing, then viewing the trace log. It is possible to specify the trace category so as to limit down the amount of data captured, but you will probably still get more information than you need. You can use a tool like XrmToolbox to help parse the trace log
