Assigning leave plans to future employees

Hi all,

We're setting up future employee's accounts in Talent in anticipation of their arrival. We've successfully assigned them to positions, but now we're having trouble finding where to assign leave plans to them.

As their start date is in the future, they're listed as Inactive Workers. There is no way to navigate to their leave and absence page from this view, and we can't see them in other places like Employees.

We've also tried assigning the plans to them via the Leave and Absence workspace, but they do not appear there.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Ciara.

I have been looking at the same issue today. What I've found is that on the Worker, if you use the 'As at date' function and select the worker's start date, then Employment Details in the ribbon then has Leave and Absence. You can then select this and add the relevant Leave Plan(s) to the worker.

It then shows as a Future plan when you go back in to check.

This is how I've found to do it, but it would be useful to know if this is the right way!

Leave plan enrollment is dependent on the employee having an employment. Using the As of date on the employee record is how you would enable the leave enrollment to be activated. At this time, it's not possible to enroll the employee through the leave plan itself.
