    Hello,
The Multi-Company Synchronization Enabled field controls how that specific integration table mapping handles records when multiple Business Central companies synchronize with the same Dataverse/Field Service environment. When enabled, Business Central uses the company ID to correctly separate company-specific records; for document mappings, only records belonging to the current BC company are synchronized, while for other mappings the company-ID filter can be removed so related master data can be shared across companies. Microsoft also recommends being careful with bidirectional synchronization in multi-company scenarios to avoid duplicate records, using filters and match-based coupling where needed. So, enable this only when the same Dataverse/Field Service environment is intentionally connected to multiple BC companies.

    Hi,
this field matters when multiple Business Central companies sync into the same Dataverse environment, but what it actually does depends on the type of mapping, and that's the part people usually get wrong.

For document mappings, orders, quotes, opportunities, ticking it restricts sync to entities carrying the current BC company's ID, so it narrows scope to the current company. But for all the other mappings, and CONTACT is one of them, it works the opposite way, it drops the company ID filter so related records get considered regardless of which company they belong to. So for your Contact line it is not a "keep Company A separate from Company B" switch at all, more the reverse.

If you turn it on, Microsoft suggests direction FromIntegration where you can, and if you go ToIntegration or Bidirectional then use table filters plus match based coupling, otherwise duplicates across companies are quite easy to end up with.
Are you actually running more than one BC company into this same Dataverse environment, or just the one for now?

Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.
