Supressing underlines in rows with no data in Management Reporter

Posted on by 335

In FRx you were able to surpress the underlines on rows that showed no data by referring to a cell that if there was nothing there, they shouldn't show.  Do we have any way to do that in Management Reporter.  Can't even use NP.  I have a series of rows that are all NP, yet I can't use the print Control NP on the underlines.  Or XO

    David and Susan,

Can one of you just send me the .tdbx you are using? I will try and reproduce the issue as I have not run into it yet. My email is aolson@microsoft.com. Thanks and I will keep you updated!

I believe this issue is still evident in MR 2012 ERP Rollup 2.  Is this due to be fixed anytime soon?  Does anyone have a workaround?

This is on a group fo NP rows which have a total and even though I put the total row in the related rows just like we used to it won't quit printing the underscores.  I'll put it in connect as an issue because it just isn't working.  And you can't use NP on the underscore now.

Thanks April, appreciated the feedback so quickly.

    Hello Susan,

You can do the same thing in Managment Reporter as you did in FRx. In the Related Rates, Rows and Units column, put the row code number of a line you want to use as the condition.

For example, I have an expense section titled Office Expenses. I then have a few accounts and an underscore. On that underscore line, put the row code of the total Office Expenses. It then works as a conditional printing. If no total Office Expenses prints, don't print the underscore.

    Thanks,

    April
