I recently upgraded a client from SL2015 CU1 to SL2018 CU2. This move included changing them from a single-user environment to a client-server setup (albeit with SL remaining licensed single-user. It also entailed replacing the Windows 7 workstation to one running Windows 10.
Everything went smoothly (or as smoothly as it ever does) with the exception of printing checks. Alignment on the check form (custom report) is WAY off. This form was originally created in SL 7. I took the report into Crystal, moved a field or two around, set it to “No Printer” and upgraded it when I saved it to the current version.
The printer in question is a HP LaserJetPro M404n. It worked fine with Windows 7 and SL2015. I’m thinking that the alignment issue is related to the printer driver and Crystal. Back in the old days, I’d have created a new instance of the printer using a HP Laserjet 4 driver (gotta love the old stuff) to resolve. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be such a beast for Windows 10.
Has anyone else seen this and have suggestions? The alignment is an issue even with the standard crystal format.
Thanks!
