Case Resolution Form Update

When I open the managed form to update the fields in Case Resolution everything is greyed out.  I've managed to add an item to the drop down list for the reason for the resolution however there is a completely unnecessary field - called "Resolution" which is mandatory that I want to remove.  Any help gratefully received.

    You can remove orginal resolve case button  and use your custom button that call your dialog or somthing else.

    for edit button you can use ribbon eritor on  XRM Toolbox  (download)

    and for call dialog in javascript use Process.js(Page)

    I think this becomes an open question with the release of the new version..

    Yes, you cannot change the form.

    However, dialogs are getting deprecated (which does not mean they'll stop working right away, but they will, at some point):

    So, other alternatives might be to:

    - Create a "close case" section on the case form (this won't work with the grids, though)

    - Create a new web resource (html, javascript, etc) + define a new ribbon button. That's is far from being the easiest solution, though

    - Leave it as is

    Hi Anna,

    Unfortunately you cannot change that Resolution Form. But you can make a custom dialog yourself:

    community.dynamics.com/.../use-a-dialog-process-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-to-replace-the-case-resolution-form
