Transfer remaining Entitlement Terms

Hi,

Say I create an Entitlement of 50 hours for a customer, all is good, when remaining term hits 5 hours, I want to close it, and create a new one of 55 hours (bill customer 50 hours + transfer balance)

is there a "transfer" option somewhere? or do i have to

-Create a new one of 55hours

-find all related active cases from old one, and move them to new one

-close old one.

Is there a better way of doing this? (we kinda need to know what case were paid with what entitlement/invoice)

does not seem too complicated to do with a plugin...

Hi partner,

There is no such OOB transfer option in D365.

You could create a MS Flow to do this automatically.

Hi partner,

Here the steps to using Flow(Power Automate) to do this.

1.Create a new scheduled flow and set it run each one hour.

2.List entitlement records with conditions:

entitytpye = case,

status reason = active,

remainingterms = 5

3.Create an update record action to cancel the old entitlement.

4.Create new entitlement.

You could set all the values from the old record you've closed to the new record in flow.

I will probably go with the plugin, its easier than working with GUI. But i will look into that Solution of yours, could help for small WF!
