CRM 365 Dynamics (on premise): Unsaved Changes in more than one dataset

Posted on by 10

Hey community,

I have a problem in my CRM 365 Dynamics. I Create a JS-Code, which show me the GUID from our account records.

All good and on every account I see the GUID now.

But if i want to make a list, i don't see the records, because the field "CRM GUID" is not saved in the database.

So I have to go on every record in crm and have to save them manually to have it in the database and see it in the lists.

Are there any possibilities to save more than one record at the same time, because it is very hard to save more than 10.000 account records.

Thanks for help and your support.

I don't understand why you need a new field. Why don't the reports use the AccountId field directly?

Is the "CRM Guid" field a copy of the "AccountId" of an Account ?

If it is necessary for you to duplicate the field, you should write a Plug-in to populate the Guid because this operation should be done on the server side. Use a Sync Post-Create Message. See: learn.microsoft.com/.../tutorial-write-plug-in

To fix the existing records, you can export in Excel (static export) the records, copy the hidden column values containing the Guid in the "CRM GUID" field and then import the Excel file.

    Hi,

because our subject area needs this for reporting etc....

But this is not the problem. The problem is, that I have many of unsaved account records and because of this I have the GUID not in the database and cannot display in the lists.

    Hi,

Why do you need to display the Account Guid in a view?
