I have users that are unable to export PO's to either Word or Excel on new PC's (Windows 7/64 bit). The error they get is 'access denied', even when they attempt to export to their own desktop.
They can export fine to the same location using the HTML option, so location security is not the issue.
Does anyone understand the cause this?

I determined that Store Ops Manager requires user access to create or modify a file named PO format.xml under
“C:\PF x86\Microsoft RMS\Store Operations”. Default security for local Users group on the is Store Operations folder & contents is read only. I resolved by elevating required users to the Modify permission set and the export now runs OK.
Not the best of solutions but unless we can re-point where the export takes place I do not see any other options at this point.
I’m not sure if this is restricted to 64 bit Windows 7 but something to be aware of.
As an update the user can export to both Word & Excel if running Store Ops Manager as a (PC) admin, and logging into SOM as before.
It really points to a Windows issue, but where in the process the 'access denied' message originates is a mystery. Again, the user can export an HTML PO to her desktop etc but not Word/Excel.
It is not a PC firewall issue (disabled) and it functions OK on one XP machine, but not a newer one.
