Cannot see related entity when writing workflow to update related record

Hello,

When creating a workflow to update a record, the related entity does not appear under "Related." I have a 1:N relationship and N:1 between two entities (Contacts and Internal Project Team). What I would like to do is when a contact is deactivated, the status for all associated projects under the Internal Project Team entity should be marked as "Inactive" as well. Please advise. Thank you!

Hi,

You can easily achieve your requirement with Power Automate.

Trigger your flow on your Primary Entity when record is Updated.

Add condition to check the status

If Inactive

Add List rows action to fetch related Projects and update the status of projects to Inactive

I'm afraid it's not doable using OOB workflow. You will have either use Custom Workflow Activity packs (and distribute workflow custom workflow step) or develop a plugin that will do that for you.
