Closing income statement

Posted on by 5

I have closed the income statement and gotten a G/L register.  However, when I run a trial balance for the subsequent month, the prior year's sales and expenses are still showing.  I thought that those should zero out with the "close income statement" entry.  I must be missing a step but can't figure out what that step is.  I have already "closed year."  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Kindly running the close income statement once again, There may be any user posted any entry after you run the close income statement.

In trial balance report, while taking report prefix "C" at the end date.
