Entering previous sales for 2012 into new database (with correct dates), is this possible?

We purchased and are setting up our database for RMS 2.0. I want to post our previous month sales for 2012, from Jan1 to now. I am going to post the sale of the entire day as one transaction. I want this information to use for reports and it to reflect the month, date, that it was sold.

We did not have a computerized inventory system previously, so it would be nice to enter sales from the beginning of the year, to have a picture of our entire year. This also means I can't import any previous information either, if that is an option.

Suggestions would be appreciated.
