Post upgrade CRM 2013 missing indexes

Posted on by 990

Hello Experts,

We performed the in-place upgrade CRM 2013 over CRM 2011, which went successful.

After upgrade we were evaluating the indexes which goes missing in CRM 2013 and we found that there are some indexes on CreatedOn field which are not present in CRM 2013, these indexes seems to be OOB indexes.

Could you please guide me in this regard, what happens with indexes after upgrading CRM 2013 over CRM 2011.

Thanks,
Rahul

    Hi Rahul,

When you upgrade CRM, you get only OOB indexes available for that version. So 'created on' index might be in CRM 2011 but its not in CRM 2013 so it was not created.

However if you have search field on 'created on' or if you think that having index on some field will improve performance, you can always do that.

Are you facing any performance issue post upgrade?

    Thanks,

    PS

    Hello Rahul

Tenfold can help in integrating MS Dynamics 365 and enabling click to dial in Outlook. Our click to dial also works on webpages opened in Chrome.  They also support MS Dynamics integration www.tenfold.com/.../dynamics

    Hi Alagu,

Thanks for the link, I have already gone through the list of indexes given in the site, but my question here is from where "ndx_SystemManaged_fieldname" indexes created on CRM 2011 and where it gone after upgrade to CRM 2013.

    Regards,

    Rahul

Yeah, I know that from CRM 2013 onward extensionbase and base tables are combined into single table.

But, in the existing CRM 2011 environment I can see there are indexes called "ndx_SystemManaged_fieldname" specially for createdon field and on some other fields.

My question here is where this indexes gone after CRM 2013 upgrade.

    Regards,

    Rahul
