We are setting up a new entity and carried out the company copy. However we have found we cannot access the Master Planning Parameters on the new company instead we receive the below error

the master planning parameters were not part of the company copy. However if we do try to copy these then we get the below error stating company must be filled in but there is no 'company' field on the entity:-

Results. Field 'Company' must be filled in.
Results. validateWrite failed on data source 'ReqParameters (ReqParameters)'

    Hi Kerry,

There is some issue in your code that doesn't cause a compile error but it causes a runtime error.

You should open a solution in D365FO, start the debugger and attach to process, and then try to open D365FO again.

VS will then show you where the exception was thrown. You don't have to add any breakpoints.

Hi Kerry, If it is standard form (No added customizations) then please follow these steps to resolve menu item issue.

    robscode.onl/.../

Regarding Data Entity, I can see DataAreaId (Company) is the key in 'Master planning parameters' data entity, due to which you are getting this error. This field is not exposed in Data entity, that's why you can't see it from UI.

    Hi Kerry,

we had the same issue in one of my projects with the req parameters.

I was able to solve the issue by opening the reqparamters in the table browser.

In my case the  forecast plan was somehow not correct. So I deleted the Forecast Plan in the maintablle and created it was the same ID. After that I was able to open the parameters again.
