Hi,

We are trying to delete bulk of unposted records (10,000) that were generated by mistake but unfortunately we are getting the below message after 10 Mins from deleting and we have to press wait

The operation is taking a long time to process, click Wait to keep waiting for it to complete.

We would like to know, How can we avoid this message because it is not make sense to set a user just to press Wait several times?

Hi Peter,

Is it the standard delete button you are using to delete records selected on the form? is custom or a standard form?

Seems this particular scenario is rather a one time thing (removing a lot of data that was created accidentally). Normally if the user is doing something that will take a long time - such as posting big journals - they should rather have it run as a batch, instead of running it in their own user session, and having to wait with the frozen screen until it's done.

So perhaps this approach would work as a general guidance for you?
