Dear Business Central Experts,

I try to start a debug session in Visual Studio Code for a Business Central AL extension that I left alone for a month. It previously worked well on our Microsoft hosted Business Central sandbox (no Containers yet). I have not made any changes in the meantime. After pressing F5 in VS Code it says the following:

"[2019-04-11 19:17:12.05] Publishing AL application using launch configuration 'Microsoft cloud sandbox'.
[2019-04-11 19:17:12.10] Authenticating...
[2019-04-11 19:17:14.97] Authenticated as user 'wolter@entocare.onmicrosoft.com'. Please note that these credentials are cached. Clear the credentials cache to authenticate as another user.
[2019-04-11 19:17:14.97] Targeting Dynamics 365 Business Central.
[2019-04-11 19:17:14.99] Sending request to api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/.../metadata
[2019-04-11 19:17:16.33] Error: Fast deployment cannot be used for this server."

What does the last sentence mean? I am not aware of having switched the mode of "deployment". Is there a setting in the app.json or the launch.json that can cause this to happen? (As a newby, I pretty much accepted most of the settings in these files like they were provided). Or is there some other reason that causes the error message?

Thanks for any information you may have.

With best regards,

Wolter Kaper

Are you sure that you don't have deployed with ALT+F5?

Fast deployment (RAD) is a feature available from platform 14 (April '19 update). Is your online sandbox in that version (14) or it's again to version 13.5?

That's it. I must have been pressing Alt-F5 while it should have been (on my laptop) Fn-F5.

    Thanks for the explanation!
