D365 F&O Multi-site revenue allocation by production source

Is there a way to configure D365 F&O to allocate revenue and std cogs for a many-to-many multi-site scenario?  For example, we have 5 Sites (each with say 3 warehouses) in a single legal entity (single company code in the db); three of the Sites can produce the same item and the same item can be on hand at any combination of the 15 warehouses.  There is a ledger dimension to indicate the Site.  When an item is sold, we want the revenue and std cogs to post to the GL with the right dimension code to indicate the originating Site (where the finished product was produced, irrespective of which warehouse the sale is fulfilled from.  Can this be done?
Thanks for any advice in advance.

    Hi Andre,
Thanks for engaging with the question.  I guess I was wondering if dimensions can flow from details against the specific item such as batch or licence plate.  It seems however you're indicating that a single sales order line for 8 units of a single sku, where 5 units were produced from one site and 3 from another, can only show one dimension.  If that is correct, is there a way for a 'diluted' solution - such as nominating a default site for each item in the item master (let's say site A for item X); then when item X is sold, from site A wh1 or A2 or B1 etc., the rev and cogs for that item sale line would code to the financial dimension for A1?
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

    Hi,

This is out of the box not supported as the financial dimensions are initiated on the sales order line from the customer and product, not from on-hand transactions. What would be the expected outcome in case you sell products on one sales order line that came from different sites? The sales order line can only have one dimension.
