Great Plains 2010 Installing Safe Pay

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am trying to setup Safe Pay for my users. I have Safe pay selected under Tools-->setup-->System-->registration. However everything I can find to say how to configure SafePay indicates that under Tools-->Routines-->Financial I should see Safe Pay and then Configurator. I do not see a safe pay option. I must be missing something but for the life of me I cant find any documentation on how to setup this feature to show in Great Plains. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jennifer,

You may want to read also the thread that posted on the GPUG Collaborate related to Safe Pay security... out-of-the-box, there is no security role for Safe Pay... only tasks.

Read through the discussion to know how to do it.

    Hello Jennifer!

As Tom Cruse has mentioned I would check to make sure that SafePay is fully installed. For this you would want to go into your add/remove programs and Select your Microsoft Dynamics GP Installation and click on change and then Add/remove features. You will want to make sure SafePay is installed on any workstation that posts any type of payment to make sure that it will be posted into all the tables that are needed for SafePay.

Please let us know if you have any further questions!

    Jennifer,

One thing that might cause this behavior is if Safe Pay was not marked in your registration window - even if the keys unlock it, the module must be checked.

You need to install it, you'll have to add it from your GP install disk or image. See screen below, you'll have to run the installer, modify the current instance and Add/Remove programs to get to the following screen.

I have tried logging in with a poweruser account and the sa account and do not see it with either. There is no entry for safepay in my dynamics.set file.
