Add Deferral Schedule to Purchase Journal Line

Hello all,

I was looking for some functionality to add the deferral schedule to a journal line after the deferral code has been chosen.

In the purchase invoice card page this functionality is Out-of-box. See below:

I've tried to use the same code, but it is protected.

That could be a good idea to look into the extensions. If you can replicate in a sandbox, try uninstall the extension that might have an impact and test.

I am a Super User (administrator with Super permission set), so that's a bother. Any further suggestions on this one? All I can think of is that one of our extensions has broken this?

I did a quick testing in standard BC and am able to create/choose different deferral codes. The deferral schedule function is to view/update the deferral amount based on the deferral code. I would suggest you to ask a super user to try and if it behaves differently. If yes, then try to look into the permission side.

I think you are saying you can't put a deferral code in, because the field is protected? I'm also having this problem. Did you resolve it?

Hi,

changing the schedule can be done using standard functionality by setting the behaviour of the Deferral code to User Defined.

The user will then be required to set the schedule manually, by using the suggestion Inge M. Bruvik has already proposed.
