Trying to connect the Fin & Ops MCP Connector to Copilot Studio agent and it is stuck loading and then does not work, whats going on?

Hello,

You’re going to have a lot of fun soon! When you add the tools, D365FO will ask you to log in.

Just enter the email and password of a user enabled via Microsoft Entra ID.

The user should be enable in D365FO as well. Normally, we create an admin user for this purpose:

Have you double checked the prerequisites:

The product version of finance and operations apps must be at least 10.0.47.

Enable the Dynamics 365 ERP Model Context Protocol server feature in Feature Management.

Add the agent platform on which you're building your agent in the Allowed MCP Clients page. Learn more in Allowed MCP clients.

Your environment is Tier 2 or above, or a Unified Developer Environment. The MCP server isn't supported on Cloud Hosted Environments

Are you on the Minimum version of F&O, is the feature enabled, and what is your environment tier?

Hi!

Please try the below,

First please goto the agent -> tools -> add new Tool & select Dynamics 365 ERP MCP

If you are facing error in the connection, you should add the create the new connection as shown in the image below and add the configure the tool

after did this step, it will work as expected, Still you are facing issue while interacting with agent, you just find the object id in the azure portal by searching your agent name in the app registration in azure portal and add the object id in F&O the following navigation system administration > setup > Microsoft Entra ID Applications

Hi ,

I went through the exact same problem and fixed the issue with the following work arounds :-

1) It would be better and in most cases highly recommended that you are using SSO for your Copilot agent login and the same account is used to create MCP connection which has access to your D365 F&O Tier 2 or Sandbox environments.

2) Better clear your browser cache and cookies and system cache by going to Command prompt and running the command "%temp%" to clear temporary files.

3) Close your all your browser sessions and recommend to use Microsoft Edge at all times avoid using any other browsers. Restarting your system will be an added advantage.

Please check if this help as following the exact same steps helped me.
