I've just been watching the Apr19 release webinar. Customer Insights gives the ability to create customer segments. My question is - are these segments exposed to D365 For Marketing? Specifically, can the segment builder address segments and fields directly from the CI service?

The new mechanic will allow you to use segments that have been built in Dynamics 365 Customer Insights to see and use in Dynamics 365 for Marketing. So yes, the CI segments will be exposed to D365 for Marketing. But please note, the segment builder within Marketing is not the same; the latter has access to the data that has been made available to marketing.
There is certainly the risk for confusion of the naming, when we think of previous product names like "Azure Customer Insights", "Dynamics 365 for Customer Insights", and how the terms customer insights appears in the configuration within the marketing application. We will be cleaning up terminology in the Marketing user interface to clarify the use cases.
Hey Catalina - let me try to give an example. If I create a calculated field for 'invoice overdue' in Customer Insights, that has a Yes/No outcome, can I use that field to create a segment in D365fM?
