Updating test company

We have a test company that we update and copy from our current live company from time to time so that we can work on some potential changes and see how they will work before making changes in the live company.  Today when we tried to update the test company from live, we get the following message when trying to open the test company...  "The selected company is not configured as a company of the current Microsoft Dynamics GP system Database.  You must resolve the database configuration to log in to the Company."

Can anyone give us some direction as to what we need to do?  Please advise. Thanks.

    There is a table in the company database that should be consistent with the Dynamcis db as related to the company id. The table is SY00100 and it should have the same company ID for this company which is stored in Dynamics DB SY01500
