AX 2012 R3. Remove language/ Static Reports Languages

Is there any official or tested way of disabling a language in AX 2012 R3?

We have a lot of unwanted languages activated in the system and so a lot of different versions of the static reports are getting implemented.

So far we tried:

- Uncheck the language tab of the license configuration form in AX. As a result we are getting a lot of errors: "

"A call to the Microsoft Dynamics AX SRSFrameworkService service failed" (Once per deactivated language)

- Uncheck "labelFile" field from LanguageTable for each unwanted language (no effect in report implementation)

- Delete unwanted languages from LanguageTable (no effect in report implementation)

Any more ideas?

    Edit: Allow for SSRS-service to restart after the synchronization is finished.

    Hi,

    What is your real problem here? Who cares if there are label files or static reports or other techical files? Is this causing some free disc space problems?

    If you need to restrict the values presented to end users, I can understand your question. In that case you can use eXtensible Data Security (XDS) for this to limit the available languages presented to users.
