We are a small manufacturer looking for a bar code solution for our SL2011 installation. A while back folks has suggested Barcode Gateway from Gulfstream software. Does anyone have any updates on this, or any other choice?

What do you mean by "bar code solution for our SL2011 installation". What exactly are you wanting to do?
We use Gulfstream to issue inventory to projects and production orders by scanning barcode labels. To print barcode labels we use Codesoft from Teklynx. The Teklynx Sentinal server can watch a folder for files to process and match them with a label format, then from some SL screens we have buttons to create those files - this is how we print barcodes for shipping labels, and at inventory receipt.
Both products were reasonably priced.

We found the company, Freedom Technologies Corp, freedomcorp.com, that has a solution. It looks like they build a connector to SL... but for a price...

While I can't recommend any particular barcode solution, I did enter a search string on Bing of "Dynamics SL barcode". Suppliers offering this functionality came up in my search other than Gateway. Let the community know what you find and maybe someone will have info about the company you find.
