User unable to populate custom Team Lookup field

I have created a custom field that is a lookup for Teams.  When I try testing using the Salesperson role, this field is locked and I'm not able to populate it. 

How should the Security Role for Salesperson be set so they are able to see the lookup values and select one?

I tried giving them Business Unit access to Create, Organization access to Read, and Business Unit access to Write, but that didn't work.

    Hi,

    You need to give appropriate Append and Append To permission on Team entity for sales person role.
