Current user in Word template

Posted on by 480

I have created a Word template in AX 2012. The document is a letter to the customer so I use table ContactPerson and other tables with table relations. But I also want to print the name and contact information for the current user, the person who creates the letter. Is there a way to get this information without having a table with relation to ContactPerson?

What I mean that you can still change some of the standard framework classes and achieve this, but the best way would be to add the user table as part of your user query.

Thank you Kumar Gaurav for your answer. Do you mean that I can get current user from a method in a class instead of from a field in a table? If that is possible can you please tell me how this is done?

There is no other way unless you have a custom table or field where you are keeping the same information. At the end of day template will still need a source. If you are asking that whether you can code something to achieve this then answer is yes you can do that but you will have to start touching framework classes which is not suggested.
