How to make action "Copy lines from job planning" work?

Hi guys,

I am currently working with resources and time sheets and therefore I have created a new project.

That project I have divided into three project task lines.

These lines in turn contain project planning lines.

Now I have assigned the resource MARLIES to one of these project planning lines with a time amount of 5 hours.

Then I have created a new time sheet for the resource MARLIES.

There I found the function: Copy lines from job planning.

Now I thought that I could use it to get all of the project planning lines for that particular resource. Somehow that doesn't work ...

I just want to make it possible that employees can only post on project lines for which they were previously assigned.

Have the job planning lines been posted before they can be picked up in the time sheet?

    Hello Maluee

    After you have create the job planning line for the resource, MARLIES for a total of 5 hours, I think you have one job planning line for each task line.

    When you create the time sheet and use the copy from job planning lines, system retrieves the three line and insert those one the time sheet:

    Type Description 4 Mon 5 Tue 6 Wed 7 Thu 8 Fri Status Job No. Job Task No.
    Job 1,5 Open TEST 1000
    Job 1,5 Open TEST 2000
    Job 2 Open TEST 3000

    Now I thought that I could use it to get all of the project planning lines for that particular resource. Somehow that doesn't work ...

    this part is not clear to me, if you would like to have only the specific line for a resource you need to filter on it when you create the time sheet

    Have the job planning lines been posted before they can be picked up in the time sheet?

    According to my knowlege all the job planning line are used , if those are within the filter to create the time sheet

    Hey Alessandro,

    thank you so much for your answer. I think you were right about the filtering, I changed the date during the creation of the time sheet and then I got the project planning lines from the previous weeks. Apparently you have to pay attention to this.

    Now I have seen that users can select other projects in the timesheets, when they use the edit mode.

    In my case, the job "BÄDERWELT" should not appear in the drilldown...I guess here it shows all available jobs.

    Can I somehow prevent this? Would that only be possible with an adjustment or is there perhaps a setup page with a suitable field?

    The users should only be able to get the planning lines into the timesheets, where they have been added as a resource.

    first of all sorry for my late answer

    In the standard the resource can see all the available job, as it is possible that they need to work on it

    It is possible make some change to see only the job they are assigned to, but it require a customization
