Query Entities from C#

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi, we have used in the past CRM 2010 (?) and have used there custom entities and properties to store users absence. My previous colleagues have build a custom ASP.NET C# web application and have used the CRM API to query and write to the custom entities in CRM.

Is this also possible in CRM 2016?

best regards

Bog

I would recommend you to go with the CRM Nuget packages instead of taking the libraries from different sources.

    Hi Guido,

thanks for your response. One more question:

    - I think i need to include the new Assemblies from the SDK? (Microsoft.Crm.Core.dll / Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.Proxy.dll ??)

    - I think i need to do a little refactoring to fit to new methods etc.?

    - Can i use directly the Assemblies out of the SDK package which are stored under CRM 2016 SDK\UII\Bin\UII or this there any other SDK needed?

    Thanks for your support!
