Should unapplying a payment change the RM HATB report?

AR user ran the RM Historical Aged Trial Balance on 12/31/2011 to reconcile for year-end closing.  User (or someone in her group) unapplied a credit memo and a payment for one the customer on 1/24/2012.  Because these were 2011 documents, the RM HATB changed.  Is this how the report is supposed to function or is this a bug in the report?
